Summer in the City Part II

Summer has officially come to an end and what a summer it was!  I was lucky to have escaped an earthquake but not so lucky with Hurricane Irene. Other than the highly irritable weather, the rest of my summer was excellent! After years of being a non-driving New Yorker, I decided to jump behind the wheel, load up my GPS and was set free! I drove from one end of the Hamptons to the other for the good part of August.  I met my clients on the beaches and in their homes and had the most amazing family photos shoots that I will never forget! There was sand, water, smiles, wind, and rain but everything worked out in the end just as it should! Continue reading Summer in the City Part II

Swimming with Aaron Piersol

A couple of weeks ago I had the privilege of attending an event at the Empire Hotel with my son and significant other dadarocks!. Considering it was the 2nd hottest day of the year so far…. being at a rooftop pool in the city was too good to be true! The special event was hosted by auro-dri….. the official product of the American Swimming Coaches Association.

On hand to spend time with our little ones was Aaron Piersol, the official spokesperson for auro-dri.  Who would know more about swimmer’s ear than an Olympic Gold Medalist?  Aaron was amazing. He entertained the kids, showed them proper swimming techniques and silly water tricks all afternoon! Continue reading Swimming with Aaron Piersol

Go Big

It’s that time of the year again………

Twice a year Big City Moms hosts the most amazing baby shower ever!  It’s definitely the place to be for expectant and new moms alike. I even witnessed a new trend this year of moms with 1+ yr olds.
Vendors enthusiastically set up to display their latest and greatest products.  Attendees will see products that are not even available for sale yet!  This truly is the most coveted admission in the city. Continue reading Go Big

Summer in the City – Part 1

As I painted my toes this morning a blinding hot pink (Essie’s Pansy), it hit me that Summer has begun. Officially it begins this weekend with the kick off of Memorial Day. However, with the sudden tropical heat inside my apartment, the spotting of Naval Officers in town for Fleet Week. it’s already getting dangerously close to Summer in the City!  What plans do you have???

Part One of our summer travels is complete. We had an amazing time in FL with my husband’s grandparents and enjoyed Disney with my son+SIL/FIL.  The wheels of life keep spinning as I now take my son to places I went as a kid! I could not help but think how crazy it is that so many of the rides (especially in Epcot) have not changed at all.  This is both nostalgic and disturbing at the same time haha. Mother’s Day at Michael C. Fina

In preparation for Mother’s day I forced myself to go out today and fight the masses at Walgreens searching for 8 cards to send to our Moms, Grandmother’s and Aunts! Just a warning.. more than one person is getting a Mickey Mouse card thanks to my 2 yr old helping out!!

I jumpstarted my Mother’s Day Celebration this morning with a brunch and trunk show at Michael C. Fina, hosted by Big City Moms. It was such an amazing event with decadent morning bites + mimosas. Many different lines of jewelry were showcased with knowledgeable reps on hand to answer any questions. I fell in love with the Heather Moore line on the spot! Her designs were so unique and truly one of a kind. The antique(ish) charms and semi precious stones can be added, taken away, etc etc for multiple looks. I made a little note on the handy “cheat sheets” that were available for husbands and partners who have just given up on surprises!
