Dance Class 101 with the Radio City Music Hall “Rockettes”

Every year in New York City one of the first signs of the holidays is a TV Commercial and Bus billboards for the Radio City Music Hall “Christmas Spectacular“.  There’s no better way to get into the holiday spirit! People young and old pour into the festive looking Radio City multiple times a day to catch the show. Of course everyone knows The world famous “Rockettes” are the true stars and every time I see the show, I’m more and more impressed. Safely Getting Around the Big Apple with LYFT

Before having kids getting around New York City was a non issue. I would take the subway, hail a cab, or just walk the city blocks if I had extra time. As with everything, life changes and now I have 3 kids to also transport from one activity to the next. I learned really quickly that although it may be the safest option, car seats are not exactly light weight “or” convenient to lug around. Let’s not even get started on trying to install one on the fly in a NYC yellow cab. My Year End Review with the amazing Samsung #NX300 & #GalaxyNX Camera

This past spring I was fortunate enough to be chosen as one of the few participants around the country to help test out the new Samsung NX300 camera.  My job as a photographer, mom, part time blogger, and NYC resident creates the perfect storm to be exposed to some pretty cool scenes.  Having my NX300 in hand has forced me to become more aware of my surroundings, look closer for inspiration, and “up” my game with our friendly competition.  Speaking of competition, I am surrounded  by some phonoemenal photographers and feel extremely lucky to be in their company. Review: Little Miss Muffet’s Monster Sitting Service at the Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre

Last week I took my son to see the latest presentation at the Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre in Central Park. Aside from the historical aspect and setting of this playhouse, it is in one of my favorite areas of the park and I love having an excuse to visit! If you have passed the little playhouse before and wondered (as I had done for so long) what’s in it….. buy a ticket online and check it out!!! Summer in the City Part II

Summer has officially come to an end and what a summer it was!  I was lucky to have escaped an earthquake but not so lucky with Hurricane Irene. Other than the highly irritable weather, the rest of my summer was excellent! After years of being a non-driving New Yorker, I decided to jump behind the wheel, load up my GPS and was set free! I drove from one end of the Hamptons to the other for the good part of August.  I met my clients on the beaches and in their homes and had the most amazing family photos shoots that I will never forget! There was sand, water, smiles, wind, and rain but everything worked out in the end just as it should! Continue reading Summer in the City Part II
