Last week I attended the much anticipated launch of a fabulous new skincare line for Mother and Baby. The Perfect Pearl is a new skin care line that reflects Safety, Functionality, and above all “Luxury”.
Upon my arrival at Fred’s inside Barney’s NY, I was intrigued by the gorgeous looking displays of this new product. I have always been a sucker for skincare products and seek out the best (within my price point) for both myself and son.
I was so happy to learn that this line is completely hypoallergenic, fragrance free, colorant, and paraben free.
The line is separated in 2 categories… One for Baby and One for Mother. The Baby collection includes a face cream, pearl powder, moisture lotion, diaper cream, and a cleansing foam for hair and body. One would think that by using something so luxurious as pearl extract in a baby formula the products would not be conducive to hypoallergenic standards, but this is not the case with the Perfect Pearl Line. It is completely safe and made in the U.S.A.
Creator Ying Zhou had the idea for her line when her Mother visited from Asia after the birth of her daughter. Ying’s mother brought over the gift of pearl powder to the newborn and this is when Ying decided to share this ancient secret with the world!
The second line is a maternity collection that includes a nursing cream, bust serum, and a much needed stretch mark cream. The line was formulated with moms who have chosen to breastfeed in mind. Again, all ingredients are preservative free, so there is no need to worry about the product harming a newborn while breastfeeding. I actually heard great things while mingling at the event about the Bust Serum! This serum contains the active ingredient Osilift which promotes firmness and prevents loss of elasticity.
If one is curious as to why the pearl is so mysterious and “magical”, then here is your answer! Most people are already aware that the process to make a natural pearl takes a very long time (approximately 3 years). Pearl powder has been used for centuries by ancient Asians, Egyptians, Chinese, Mayans, and Indians. Pearl powder has large amounts of calcium and minerals combined with Conchiolin known as the “gift of beauty”! As researched by Ying’s company, pearl powder is expected to cure inflammation, relieve pain, and rejuvenate skin to have a smooth and delicate appearance.
