Celebrate The Magic of the Holidays at Brookfield Place

Every holiday season in New York City there are so many places to go. The stores and restaurants are dressed up in lights and the city is really transformed.  One of my favorite places to visit is Brookfield Place in downtown Manhattan at 230 Vesey Street. The 14 acre mecca is a one stop shopping and dining destination. I look forward to seeing beautiful Christmas trees each year and love how modern and majestic they look.

This year I decided to take my 2 daughters to visit their neighborhood Santa at Brookfield place. After all, growing up, I always went to the shopping mall in my hometown and loved it each and every year. It comes as no surprise their hometown mall is just slightly “different” but the memories will remain the same. Brookfield Place is a premier luxury shopping, dining, and cultural destination and we spend so much time here year around as a family. There is no better place to spend a few hours and during the holiday season there are so many things to do.

Visting Santa at Brookfield Place was a wonderful experience. He will be taking photos with children until December 24th. While you wait for Santa, your child will have a magical time inside a Winter Wonderalnd where they can decorate a personalized ornament or color a picture. My girls could have stayed here all day.

The Winter Wonderland activity area is the perfect way to ease a child into their one- on- one time with Santa. As we all know, Santa can be intimidating and a little scary to children and this is the perfect way to calm their nerves instead of waiting in a line until it’s your turn.

The beautiful Christmas trees already have presents under the tree and the stockings are hung on the mantle so perfectly. I could see my daughter thinking so hard about what she would ask Santa for. These are memories that will only happen when your children are a certain age and I’m so glad we were able to experience seeing Santa at Brookfield Place.

Santa was so friendly and jolly! He listened carefully to my daughter and also spent time asking her questions. It was a very special and forever memorable experience. My youngest daughter was still a little scared of Santa this year but changed her tune when he offered to let her hold his key.

  Santa will be at Brookfield Place Tuesdays – Fridays (12pm – 8pm); Saturdays (10am – 8pm); Sundays (10am – 6pm); December 24 (10am – 4pm)

After your visit with Santa, be sure to check out the luminaries, which are a mesmerizing light installation. My daughters love to make a wish and watch the colors change. It’s really amazing and makes such an impact for the little ones ( and big ones alike!)

There is also ice skating which will be available after the holidays. My kids love to skate on this rink and I know we will be here several times throughout the Winter season. It’s also fun just to stroll around and see what you can find!

Happy Holidays!

XOXO,
Suzanne
