Fashion Friday with Marin + Morgan

It’s no secret I’m more than a little obsessed with finding my kids super stylish and fun outfits.  I am constantly looking, comparing, searching and eventually buying the next great thing. When I recently discovered Marin + Morgan, I felt as if someone had been inside my head and knew exactly what I was looking for.

This is a true story. A year and 1/2 ago I was on the hunt for anything and everything that might have a fun and soon to be very stylish “ruffle sleeve”.  My searches were empty and I decided to buy a sewing machine and even bought some throw back patterns with the great flutter sleeve I used to wear in the 80’s as a little girl. I’m sad to report my sewing machine barely came out of the box and all my visions and dreams never became a reality! I will get back to it one day but for now I’m thrilled to have found Marin + Morgan!

The fabric selections used for the Spring/Summer 2016 (SS16) line is everything! They’re so unique and kid friendly as well as adult drool worthy! I love that the prints are engineered in house and are exclusive to their collection. The collection boasts a perfect combination of sophistication yet fun and whimsical at the same time.

My daughter loved the architectural tunic. I paired this with matching leggings and we hit the playground. She was able to play and run and  didn’t have to worry about anything else. The clothes moved with her and the natural fibers in the fabric ensured comfort which is huge.

Another of our favorite pieces this season is a dress we have already named the “ice cream dress”. Again, the ruffle sleeves shows up and the dress effortlessly shifts as my daughter plays. The natural cotton fabric is so soft and the dress is fully  lined.

My favorite piece from the SS16 collection is the long sleeve ruffle blouse. There are so many different ways to wear this shirt and it looks great each time! The details are amazing and the exposed zipper in the back  is really a nice statement.

Marin + Morgan was created in NYC in 2014. They want kids to realize their full potential whether at school or play. The bold designs are sure to help kids feel like they can conquer anything in their path!
