Every year September is a month full of excitement for our family. In the NYC area, children go back to school a little later than other parts of the country. We have a few extra weeks to play in the sun, go to the playground and maybe take an end of summer trip somewhere fun.

With my oldest in a nearby public school, it’s now time for my girls to experience the joys of learning as they start school at Smarter Toddler. I was beyond thrilled to see a new children’s facility moving into the Financial District neighborhood. I walked by often, anxiously awaiting the day I could tour the space. My expectations did not let me down. The space which once housed  a very old Duane Reade had been transformed into the most beautiful and magical area.

Aside from the aesthetic beauty and lovely curated classrooms, Smarter Toddler has a rich Reggio Emilia inspired philosophy combining art, music, and fun with learning. Children can learn so much easier when they are having fun. I was so happy to learn about the curriculum and excited for the new experiences they will soon enjoy.

Smarter Toddler has enrichment classes from the renown programs Music Together and Karma Kids Yoga. I will talk about these programs more in depth at a later time but seeing my daughter’s eyes light up this week was really special.

Smarter Toddler has provided a luxury arts based childcare and nursery center as well as a  pre-school program for the past 14 years. Having a curriculum that inspires creativity, discovery and imagination is so important to the dedicated founders of Smarter Toddler.
